- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine & Fold: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool & Serve: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
- Use extra ripe bananas for a naturally sweeter bread.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
- Add a sprinkle of brown sugar on top before baking for a caramelized crust.
